Bring Your Web Site to Life With Site Build It

Long before I had ever heard of Site Build It, I had been trying to pluck up the courage to have a go and try and put the vision I had in my head, into pages on the World Wide Web.I needed a web hosting company and a domain name; I also needed a HTML editor to write the web pages. The day finally came and I did get up the courage and purchased some web hosting and a domain through a well-known company.

Now I had absolutely no knowledge of HTML at all but thankfully the hosting company had an easy what you see is what you get editor that apparently a child could use. Well this nearly middle aged child did eventually get to understand the editor and I must admit I did manage to get my first web page up and running, even if it did look a little bit blocky and not as I had imagined it would look, but hey my first web page was up.

The next stumbling block I came across was I had to submit my brand new web site to the search engines, if I didn't do this then how would anyone know I had a site on the internet at all. After being advised by the hosting company to submit my site to Google, the great search engine told me that I Had to put a snippet of code on my home page.Great I thought, now how do I do this?. I sent an e-mail to the hosting company asking this very question and after waiting 3 days I had my reply, you can't it said.

The use of the easy editor meant that I could not put the HTML code that Google wanted and indeed needed me to put on my home page. I had to use a full proper editor and a FTP to upload everything to the hosting company to make this work, and well at the time the very sentence in the e-mail confused me let alone trying to actually accomplish the task.

So I had a web site, it didn't look brilliant but I had seen worse, the trouble was that no one knew my site was on the internet and that I would probably never be able to change that, as the help and assistance I received from the hosting company presumed that I knew how to rectify the situation and had no intention of telling me how to put the problem straight in plain english.

I did get to dabble with Google Adwords and this did teach me a lot, although it did drive traffic to my web site, it did so at a cost and this had to stop, the traffic also stopped as well.

By pure accident I came across Site Build It while surfing for answers one evening, SBI as the members will tell you, caters for not only the novice who knows nothing about web site creation but also the seasoned web site designer.

Thanks to SBI I have my site Painted Desert Jewels up and running as you can see but I still keep my old site up and without traffic as a reminder to where I would be now if I had not stumbled upon SBI

Site Build It enables me to work from home and concentrate solely on my web site while they take care of all the technical difficulties that other hosting companies can't be bothered to even tell you about.
